Now that might sound amazing to you and you might be saying "Wow look how far we have come!!", Ok but I listed only good things, Not the bad things.

I didn't list;  The first Female to become anorexic, The first female to be degraded, The first female to make less money just because she is a female, Now I could go on listing but I think you get the point.

Now in our world every day young girls are taught to be thin, look good, always eat little bits of food, and always wear a small size.

 Did you know that 90% of girls think they are fat or over weight? 

                                America excepts that. We think it's ok. Well it's not ok, not at all.

               Yes, it's hard to stop a train, (and we all know that this is) But it's not impossible.

Go look up "anorexic tips" you will be amazed at what you find.

Stop Telling girls that this is ok!

Man's Best Friend??

Man's Best Friend???

                    Dogs, they love us, save us, help us, and they would die for us. 

 So if dogs really are "Man's best friend" then why are over 42,720 dogs abused each year?

I love and own an amazing yellow lab. I love all animals, so much that I want to be an animal rehabilitator. 

The thing is, is that 150-200 people go to jail each year for animal abuse. That's not even one hundredth of all animal abusers. 

So wait, a man can be sent to prison for child abuse, but can't even be sent to jail for animal abuse????

                      Each day a dog gets hit, kicked, killed and no one does ANYTHING! 

Every day dogs think it's their fault, they think they have done something wrong, they are the bad guys.

Not only are dogs abused, they are abandoned. 

                           

                                       Around 4 million dogs are abandoned each year.

                        This often does not mean physical abuse, but it does mean abuse.

Dogs, love their owners, they love to please them. If we do this to animals, what does this mean for humans? 

                                    How can someone who does this to an animal (or worse)

                                                             Sleep at night????

              You can help by reporting animal abuse and help rescue abused dogs.

Giant Panda!

Researchers just found out that Giant Panda blood may hold the secret to curing illnesses! 

A scientist named Xiuwen Yan found out that the D.N.A of a Giant Panda has "cathelicidin-AM" in it. This compound kills bacteria in less than AN HOUR!!! 
In case you didn't know most well known bacteria killing antibiotics take 6 hours.

"How can this help?" you ask, here is how.

Well the compound is found in a gene. Which means that scientist can make a replica of the gene, or at least try . But this will be very hard because scientist have tried to recreate genes before but, with modern technology they should be able to. 

But wait, still There's more good news!

Giant Pandas are endangered there's only 1,600 left. Now that they are needed they might be saved from extinction!!

The scientist will not have to treat the pandas like lab rats because they can decode the pandas gene and produce a small molecule known as: Pepide. 

As to why the Giant Panda has this compound in their blood, Scientist suspects its to boost this big animals immune system. 

At any rate the Pandas might be saved from extinction and we might have new amazing antibiotic, so I call it a win-win.
